Rogue Eclipse Tools
Practical trackers that keep roguelike progress honest.
Guides teach. Builds advise. Tools remember. The Tools Hub exists so Rogue Eclipse pilots stop trusting soggy memory after a late-night demo streak. Use these pages beside the Steam demo now and beside the August 7, 2026 full release later.
Available tools
- Unlock Checklist — tag combat power, access, and cosmetics as you earn them.
- Loadout Planner — write ship and weapon priorities before you queue another run.
How to combine tools with the wiki
Start a session from Getting Started or the demo walkthrough. After the run, update the checklist, then plan the next experiment with the planner. Cross-check theory on ship upgrades, weapon loadouts, and unlock progression. When fights fail for mechanical reasons, jump to combat and survival or how to beat behemoths instead of endlessly rearranging guns.
Design of these tools
They are intentionally lightweight static planners—no account required, no fake live API. Copy tables into your notes app if you want cloud sync. After launch patches, revise rows rather than waiting for a meta site to notice.
Launch-week usage
On August 7, clear system requirements, confirm release date storefronts, then keep Tools open on a second monitor. Roguelike joy compounds when every death produces a written next test. Browse the Guides Hub and Builds Hub whenever tools reveal a skill gap instead of a loot gap.
Tools will expand if community needs appear—damage notes, sector trackers, difficulty ladders—but only when they stay accurate. For now, checklist plus planner covers the pre-launch pain points.
Tooling philosophy for roguelikes
The best tools are boring. They reduce repeated questions: what did I unlock, what am I testing, what did I learn. Flashy calculators can wait until the full arsenal is datamined and stable. Pre-launch, checklist plus planner beat speculative DPS spreadsheets that invent numbers the demo never shows.
Suggested desktop layout
Left monitor or half-screen: Steam demo. Right side: Tools Hub tab plus either combat and survival or ship upgrades. After death, fill tools before clicking continue. That ten-second pause is the difference between a practise session and a blur.
Future tools we will only add carefully
Sector maps, damage tables, and interactive builders sound nice, but they must stay accurate. We would rather link a verified guide than ship a broken calculator. Request tools by naming the decision they improve—not by asking for decoration.
Keep Overview and Updates nearby so tool rows do not outlive patched reality.
